Attention NMS! I have just learned from a media outlet that the current book club selection, American Pastoral, is now available at local booksellers and the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library. While I am told that booksellers are only giving out copies of the book if you exchange currency with their cashiers, multiple sources are now confirming that the Philip Roth classic can be attained for free at the local library. There is a catch, it’s only a temporary loan and there may be a short waiting list, but we can now say with certainty that this is a completely free option as long as you comply with the terms and conditions of the borrowing agreement. It goes without saying that this is fabulous news for our book club as we all work toward our next meeting. So, whichever option you choose to pursue—or maybe you know of another—happy page turning to you all!

Speaking of Breaking News, did anyone else see the scrolling news reel at the bottom of the blog? Looks like somebody tagged some interesting words and news sources and google is providing us with relevant news stories. How cool is that?
ReplyDeleteEric, did you comment on your own post?
ReplyDeleteWho is Eric? I, Anonymous, am really excited about this website, and I don't appreciate being accused of false names. Did you see some of those Perez Hilton stories on the news link? Eric would not even give a shit about those. I am not actually a member of this book club, but I stumbled upon this site and like it. Good riddance to bad rubish, and great cheer to good literary commentary
